The Veterans Affordable Housing Program is excited to invite you to a series of lunches and job fairs designed to help veterans and their families improve their circumstances through better housing and better jobs... and enjoy the support of people who care.

The events will take place at two locations, one in the Inland Empire and one in Washington state,. There will be companies there who are looking to hire veterans, help with job search tips and tools, provide information about potential jobs and veteran-friendly employers.

If you want to improve your housing or living accommodations, you can learn how easy it is for you to do that at very reasonable monthly payments and own your own home at one of the many communities through the Veterans Affordable Housing Program...

More Information

Helping Veterans…

Affordable Community Living is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization providing low and moderate income families with quality, affordable housing since 1997 and now offers help to veterans and their families through it’s Veterans Assistance Program.

Affordable Home Purchase Program

Many veterans and their families desire to improve their lifestyle by purchasing quality, affordable manufactured housing but have difficulty qualifying for conventional bank financing. The Affordable Home Purchase Program provides special low interest, easy qualifying financing options offered by ACL and it’s affiliates.

Down Payment Assistance

Qualified veterans will receive down payment assistance grant funds which will be matched by the community with a minimum down payment to purchase a new or used manufactured home when using ACL and/or Santiago Communities, Inc. financing in any of ACL’s 32 affiliated manufactured home communities in California.

Financing Options

In addition we have partnered with other industry leaders like Santiago Communities, Inc. to offer a unique “second-chance” financing option which gives qualified veterans the opportunity to purchase a home and re-establish their good credit at the same time.

Move-in Subsidies

Another opportunity to help qualified veterans is space rent subsidies. This lower rent during the first several months after moving in allows the veterans to adjust. Space rent is slowly increased over time to normal levels. Qualified veterans will be provided move-in rent subsidy grant funds which will be matched by the community to lower their rent cost during the first 3 years after purchasing their home.

Rent Relief

Job loss, fixed income reductions, disability, medical problems and economic challenges can create temporary hardships for veterans. That’s why we created our space rent relief program. Veterans can apply for and receive temporary rent relief based on their specific need.

Handicap Assistance

Many veterans who are disabled or wounded in action need handicap wheelchair ramps, wheel chair lifts, handicap access in bathrooms, kitchens and other modifications and improvements for interior and exterior of homes. Qualified veterans will be provided improvements as needed.

  • Affordable housing to qualified veterans
  • Rent relief to reduce financial burdens
  • Handicap ramps, bathroom, kitchen and other improvements to improve the quality of life

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Assistance in ACL’s eight manufactured home communities
  • Assistance in ACL’s 32 affiliated manufactured home communities in the western United States.

Our Community Programs…

Each community has programs for veterans and their families. Post programs include:

  • Special veteran holiday events
  • Food distribution programs
  • Informational seminars
  • Movie nights
  • Holiday parties
  • Bible Studies
  • Potluck dinners
  • Recreation ie; exercise classes, basketball teams, softball, fishing, etc.
