Mission
The AVAG Veterans Assistance Program’s distinct mission is to lessen government burdens by providing assistance to veterans through:
- Affordable housing to qualified veterans
- Rent relief to reduce financial burdens
- Handicap ramps, bathroom, kitchen and other improvements to improve the quality of life
This includes but is not limited to;
- Assistance in AVAG ’s 32 affiliated manufactured home communities in the western United States.
Our Community Programs…
Each community has AVAG programs for veterans and their families. Programs include:
- Community sponsored special veteran holiday events
- Informational seminars
- Movie nights, Holiday parties, Bible Studies, Potluck dinners
- Recreation ie; exercise classes, basketball teams, softball, fishing, etc.
- Food distribution programs
- Veteran outreach programs to assist veterans in the community and at large
- Veteran resource referrals ie; employment, career training, vet benefits
- Resources for home repair and improvements
