Robert M., Army Veteran WWII
Robert is a retired Army Captain who served in World War II as a glider pilot in Europe as a member of the 441st Troup Carrier Group.
His war time mission as a glider pilot was to bring troops behind enemy lines in Normandy, Southern France, Holland and the Rhine area of Germany then find his own way back to the American troop’s positions on his own. He received many medals, awards and four presidential citations.
Bob is active in speaking engagements teaching school children and adult audiences about American military history. He also helps provide thousands of DVD’s to men and women in the armed forces now on active duty throughout the world and in hospitals.
His rent subsidy from VAHP not only enables him to stay in personal budget but encourage and help active and recovering servicemen.
