Daniel H., Wounded Vietnam Veteran

Daniel H. was wounded in the Vietnam War. He was with the 82nd U.S. Airborne in the worst times of that conflict.

He is divorced, a recovering alcoholic, legally blind with Parkinson’s disease.

On the plus side, he lives in a community that knows him and enjoys his company. Neighbors often drop by with shared meals.

He applied for and received an AMVETS grant which helps with the rent. Daniel describes his life with a twist of self-deprecating humor when he said, “It’s true. Good things happen to bad people – even to this beat-up old Vietnam Veteran!”
